In the midst of an international crisis, career diplomat Kate Wyler is given a high-profile job she’s not suited for, which has a tectonic effect on her marriage and political future
The producers persuaded both the US and UK governments to allow them to use real locations as filming locations for the series, including the newly established US Embassy (at Nine Elms), which opened in 2018.
The only off-shoot location was Winfield House, the actual residence of the American ambassador
Britain allowed filming in the Secretary of State’s office , an honor rarely bestowed upon a film or screen production, especially an American one.

Although it is accurately described as occupying the largest residential estate (11 acres) in London next to Buckingham Palace, the producers used a country house outside the city for filming purposes.

It was so good that I watched all 8 episodes at once and after the last one I started screaming in frustration at the TV.
One of those rare treasures where every character in the high-quality ensemble has a well-developed personality and every plot twist, even the most complex, is comprehensible
It’s original, clever, and really, really well done.~~~~ That’s all I want to say, but apparently I have to write 600 characters, which seems like a lot at this late night, especially after 8 hours of non-stop wonderful television , when I really want to sleep.
