Narrative
The Jackal is an elusive assassin who makes his living by carrying out high-risk assassinations
He soon meets a worthy opponent: a tenacious British intelligence officer who tracks him down in a thrilling cat-and-mouse chase across Europe. The novel The Day of the Jackal is set in 1963 and concerns an assassination attempt on the then President of France, Charles de Gaulle.
Remake of The Day of the Jackal (1973)
The series shifts the action to the present day. I noticed a strong commentary of “Where did we go wrong?” Casting Redmayne was the perfect choice for this remake of a classic.
She seems too inexperienced for the role
One big mistake was casting the female lead of Lashana Lynch, an MI6 agent. As if she was trying too hard to impress and paid less attention to her role, which should have been left to a more experienced actress.
They should have cast a more confident and experienced actress like Christine Adams
I will admit that the rest of the cast was fine and the acting was decent. The story and production were perfect for me and kept me hooked on the action scenes with Redmayne.

I wanted to rewind all of the Lashana Lynch parts because they got so annoying. The new season of Silo is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month.
