A workflow is the sequence of steps required to complete a specific task. It could be sequential, parallel, or a combination. It includes mandatory tasks along with nice-to haves and must-haves that must be accomplished in order to accomplish a process goal. It also includes the personnel as well as the tools and resources to finish these tasks. A well-organized workflow will ensure maximum efficiency and productivity. It also helps employees concentrate on the most important issues.

The workflow process can be streamlined using software. This is especially useful in customer service, as it can cut down on the time required to respond to a request. In addition automation can reduce the amount of human error in a process review which can improve product quality.

A workflow can be organized into folders in the dashboard to aid in the search and manage your workflows. For example a sales workflow can be organized into different folders for each product line or brand. Navigate to the workflow dashboard and click Create. Give the folder a name, then click the checkbox beside the business unit you wish to assign to. To change the business unit assigned to a workflow simply hover over it and select More > Choose business unit.
