Narrative
After the events of Batman (2022), Oz Cobb, aka The Penguin, tries to take over Gotham’s underworld. Except for the bat signal in the last frame of the season finale, we never got Robert Pattinson’s cameo in The Penguin. Colin Farrell fought hard for his version of the Penguin to smoke tobacco in Batman (2022), but to no avail. However, in his own series, the character is depicted as a casual smoker who prefers cigars.

The umbrella falls and the logo changes to the Warner Bros. logo. Featured in movies Graham Norton likes: Lady Gaga/Demi Moore/Colin Farrell/Richard Ayoade/Jack Savoretti (2024). I had to go back and edit my review as soon as I finished the last episode.
From screenwriters to actors and scenery
I was very skeptical… this is DC, and I’m already used to their decades of mediocrity. I must say, I was shocked by this performance. For those of us accustomed to Marvel’s storytelling method, this is a completely different matter. No anti-hero that leaves you partially conflicted by the end, just a villain.
This is not a superhero spin-off
It’s been a minute since we’ve had anything like this, but this show really hits the nail on the head. This is a violent, violent crime drama. This is storytelling at its best! Thank you DC for this show.
