All the cardinals are fluent in Latin by default, and many speak Italian in other conversations in the film. All of these languages are Romance languages, so it’s not a stretch to assume that most of the cardinals will have a basic understanding of Spanish.

Allegri: Miserere Performed by: Capella Musicale Pontificia Sistina, Massimo Palombella Courtesy of Deutsche Grammophon GMBH Under license from Universal Music Operations Ltd. Rating – 8.5: Overall a very good film, it seems to be well made in terms of directing and acting, especially Ralph Fiennes; but the script prevents this film from being anything great, as it is very obvious that it is a metaphor for the 2024 elections, and the foreshadowing is so bad that the ending becomes incredibly predictable.
